Forsyth Lodge is a great place to soak up nature. Its 44 acres are home to a variety of birds and wild animals. Intimate and chic, it has just 12 cottages.

The Gondia cottages have an ethnic touch, while the Machaan cottages feature an open-air “machaan” sitout where one can spend the night on a luxurious bed, in harmony with the landscape.

The swimming pool is perfect for a cooling dip, after a day spent exploring the forest. Meals are served in the main lodge, and one can also relax here with a great book from the library.

This lodge embraces a strong sustainability ethos and has its own recycling facility for both food and grey water. Waste matter is sent to a recycling facility in a neighbouring city, while minimal use of electricity keeps the carbon footprint low. Well-trained naturalists and guides share a wealth of knowledge about local flora and fauna with you. Forsyth is the perfect place to base yourself and explore Satpura’s wilderness.
