Glenburn Tea Estate

Eclectic & Experiential

Glenburn Tea Estate resonates with old fashioned elegance. This magnificently restored colonial-era tea-estate is situated on the outskirts of Darjeeling, amid the lush tea gardens of the Dooar forests. The property is tucked into the Glenburn Valley, and has stunning views of the mountainous countryside.

Two cottages feature 4 suites each, with gorgeous gardens, delightful common areas, and open terraces that all guests can use.

Each suite is cozy, with fireplaces, libraries and stylish lounge areas. Antique furniture, private balconies and bay window sit-outs add to the charm.

Glenburn’s gastronomy lays a heavy emphasis on home cooked, homegrown and local.

You’ll find homemade marmalade, oven-baked bread and cakes from the estate kitchens, and of course, tea from the estate itself. West Bengal is known for its different culinary influences and chances are you’ll find regional favourites like Khau Suey jostling for space with Tibetan Momos, and you can learn all about it with a hands-on cooking class!

The property is the ideal base for hikes, walks and picnics in the countryside. It’s also a great jumping off spot to explore the hill-stations of Darjeeling and Kalimpong. If you enjoy the rugged outdoors, then Glenburn also has a small, rustic lodge and campsite, where you can get a feel for the wilderness. If you’re looking for a cozy hideaway in the lap of nature, look no further than Glenburn.
